Seattle Diving Company’s Lead ROV pilot Craig Thorngren had a surprise visitor while shooting some HD video footage in Mexico. Craig was using a custom made HD camera mounted under a VideoRay Pro4 ROV with fiber optic umbilicals. The HD footage was captured at the surface and was visible on the 26″ monitor for the director to use.

Outfall inspection

Public utility client required inspection and survey of outfall after servicing by another local contractor. SDC was hired as third-party inspector for post-servicing. A DVD was provided to the client with the video from the diver’s hat.

Search for and identification of derelict vehicle

Seattle Diving Company’s Head ROV pilot was working with a Texas sheriff’s office and they came across a truck which had ended up in the water. A BlueView P900-45 sonar was used to locate the vehicle.

Invasive tunicate removal

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife contracted SDC to perform mechanical removal of non-native tunicates from three marinas in Puget Sound. This is the second year SDC was contracted to perform this service.

Container vessel ship husbandry

A container ship required diving services to assist with a thru-hull repair on short notice. SDC provided full dive team and equipment. The dive was completed on schedule.

Noxious weed control project 606

Private party noxious weed remediation project. Eradication or control of aquatic noxious weeds in select area for property owner. 1 year maintenance contract.

Bahamas pipeline construction

The Bahamian government wanted to build a pipeline in 35 FWS in Freeport and required diver support. SDC provided divers to a prime contractor outfit out of Florida for the project.

Navy facility remediation diving project

SDC provided a large compliment of dive team members including divers, tenders, and supervisors to a US Navy facility clean-up operation in La Madellana, Italy. SDC mobilized with four days notice.

Navy cofferdam installation
